«The International Catholic Bishops Conference (ICBC) of the Union of Scranton meeting on 28 April 2014 was pleased to hear the report of the Union of Scranton delegation visit to the United Kingdom in the fall of 2013 and how they were received so well by the Free Church of England and the Anglican Association.
In reviewing the correspondence concerning the current situation within the United Kingdom and after prayerful discussions, the ICBC desires to move forward in our relationships with the Free Church of England as well as the Anglican Association. There are still challenges that face us but with fervent prayer, dialogue and continued collaboration we can grow more closely together in our Catholic faith and praxis. The goal continues to be the membership of the Free Church of England in the Union of Scranton as per the 12 February 2013 ICBC statement as well as finding a new home for Anglo Catholics within the United Kingdom. At the present time we encourage dialogue to continue with the Free Church of England, the Nordic Catholic Church and the Polish National Catholic Church.
At the same time we encourage the Anglican Association to continue to work under Bishop Flemestad as we move forward to build up a Catholic jurisdiction in the United Kingdom. Further, we very much look forward to the 10 June 2014 meeting in Philadelphia where we will continue these most important discussions. Additionally the Polish National Catholic Church is excited to welcome the Free Church of England delegation to the Scranton area on 13-15 June 2014.»
